Singapore’s population is ageing rapidly, with the East Coast planning area ageing at an even faster speed. Building on the ongoing Healthier SG efforts (involving medical and social prescriptions), this project conducts a precinct-level people-first, place-based empirical study to identify the strengths and gaps, enablers and barriers to vibrant, ageing-friendly precincts in East Coast. Adopting a novel mixed-methods approach, a series of field-based activities are carried out in a case study precinct.
