Yat YEN | Research Fellow

Biography

Yat Yen is a Cambodian researcher and lecturer specializing in urban studies, public policy, and sustainable development. His expertise spans public security, urban planning, sustainable urban mobility, and gender equity and social inclusion (GESI).

As an Associate Fellow at the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), a member of International Engineering and Technology Institute(IETI), and an alumnus of Chinese Academy of Science and The World Academy of Science (CAS-TWAS), Dr. YEN has actively contributed to academia and policy development. Meanwhile, he has supervised numerous doctoral and master students and served as a reviewer for prestigious journals such as MDPI, Springer, Scientific Report, Plos One, and Sage.

Dr. Yen leads several research projects, including initiatives funded by UN-Habitat, the World Bank, ADB, JICA, and GIZ, focusing on inclusive cities, climate change, and rural transport.

He is supporting Harvey and team on the “Strengthening Urban Resilience in the age of Flux” (SURF) project.
