Biography
Ng Shu Tian is a Research Fellow under the Chan Heng Chee Research Fellowship at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC).
She is an environmental psychologist. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Singapore Management University and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the National University of Singapore. She has also worked as a public health researcher.
She believes that societal well-being and environmental conservation are complementary goals. Guided by this belief, she examines human-nature relationships and the psychological antecedents—such as emotions, values, and construals—of pro-environmental behavior and decision-making. She primarily employs quantitative methods in her research, such as structural equation modelling and social network analysis.
She is supporting Belinda and team on the “Ageing with AI” project and other Ageing projects.
