LKYCIC researchers Poon King Wang, Dr Harvey Neo and Dr Samuel Chng are part of a first-of-its-kind labour research community, the NTUC Labour Alliance Co-laB (LAB) launched by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) on 26 September 2024 at the Labour Research Conference 2024.

The NTUC LAB comprises 50 members, including labour experts, academics, practitioners, and researchers from renowned institutions and universities. This robust community seeks to transform insight to impact by conducting labour research and examining current and emerging workforce trends and challenges to improve the lives and livelihoods of workers.

Dr Samuel Chng also presented on Bridging the Gap in the Pursuit of Sustainability during the Labour Research Conference. He shared insights on ensuring that the transition towards a green economy is fair and inclusive and creates good work opportunities for workers. This research was conducted in collaboration with NTUC and NTUC Learning Hub. Read more about the research here.
