LKYCIC Chair Professor Chan Heng Chee delivered her 2nd IPS-Nathan lecture, titled “The US-China Rivalry: Inevitable War or Avoidable War?”, on 1 July 2020. The lecture was live-streamed on IPS’ Facebook page, and was moderated by Professor Joseph Liow, Dean of College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University.
Professor Chan was appointed by IPS as the 7th S R Nathan Fellow for the Academic Year 2019/20. As the S R Nathan Fellow, Professor Chan pursues research related to public policy and governance in Singapore. Previous S R Nathan Fellows include Ho Kwon Ping, Bilahari Kausikan, Peter Ho, Lim Siong Guan, Cheong Koon Hean and Tan Tai Yong.
